After a friend introduced me into the world of custom mechanical keyboards, I ordered all the necessary parts and waited. In the meantime, my friend suggested to borrow his Preonic. Nice, I can test out my freshly lubed switches!
After getting used to the Preonic, I felt like going smaller. I pieced together a Planck and got on my way without the 12 extra keys.
Like with the Preonic, I missed a typing angle. Sharing this with my friend, he agreed that he also felt that way, which fueled me to get started on a design. Soon, my nights were consumed by Fusion 360 and after some time, The TYPEAU.40 Planck Edition was born.
